Biography 

My name is Terry Thao and I am a Illustrator and Artist who's artworks are inspired by my cultural folktales and traditions. During my free time I love to read novels, sketch, and watch dramas. I have experiences with using clay, Copic markers, watercolor and acrylic. 

 

As an artist, what I want to do was give back to my community and the only way to do it was with my art. I have always been fascinated by the stories told by my Great Elders & Grandparents. The folktales comes alive and it is the warmth and soul that carries on from generation to generation. As a culture who's language are but oral, I wanted to pass a torch of passion to the next generation and in hope that the stories and tradition told and taught by our elders and parents will last forever in our vision and in our heart.
